Airfoil for MAC is an advanced audio streaming software that streams audio from your MAC to AirPort enabled devices including laptops and computers. Aside from a few synchronization issues, Air foil offers a completely unique experience. Fantastic user interface: This software has a great and simple user interface making it very easy to locate and use Airports. The built in database also offers information such as the Airports you have in your network, which device is currently connected to that Airport and other useful details.
The application works by creating a virtual Ethernet network between Mac devices such as laptops and PCs. With this network, your laptop, Mac computer, etc. can connect to Airports through the Ethernet network that you created. There are several Airports that Airfoil supports, so the software will scan your network and create a virtual network for you. You can then connect to any device on that virtual network as if it was actually on the local network. It also creates a virtual network for you by setting up virtual IPs in a secure network environment on your MAC. This way, you can connect to devices on that network without having to worry about security or other configuration.
The software comes with an interface that looks and feels like Mac OS X. You can also use the "Settings" menu from within the software to view the latest updates, changes and other additions. If you prefer not to use a browser, you can also use the built in browser feature, which also displays text based information.
